I’ve written a book (and I will write several more), acquired by Inter-Varsity Press (2009). You might have read it. It’s still available on Amazon and other online book retailers. I’ve got several boxes of copies here in our house if you are having a hard time locating a copy, I’d be happy get one to you. Contact me @

I began writing this book when I was 27-years old and 10 weeks pregnant with my now 15-year old son. Running into Water: Women Immersed in the Pursuit of God was a four-year project. I wrote it because, at the time, I couldn’t find anything meaty and relevant enough that stimulated me as a younger woman to consider the intellectual, biblical, and global application of motherhood. I am thrilled that resources in this area are now in greater abundance for mothers especially, everywhere. This is wonderful answered prayer!

My book is for those interested in the spiritual formation of themselves and their children. It is a deep, thoughtful, inductive (and yes, often didactic) and well-researched read, yet equally personal and raw. Many women around the world have resonated with its themes and found language for their own experiences and desires, as well as a clarion call to pursue God with a whole heart. Some have reported they were taken to a “feast” and left full; it is my heart to love my readers in this way.   Then, and now.

I’ve gotten emails through the years telling me about not only of private meaningful readings of my book, but also of groups in different countries meeting weekly to go through the book together and discuss it. That’s amazing! It’s not a quick read and much growth has occurred in me since it was written, but I believe it’s still timeless.

Give it a try. I’d love to hear your feedback.
