I love election day as the outcome is incredibly historical and affects eternal history. There is activity all around us, both seen and unseen. The Bible makes clear that God has entrusted certain angels the supervision of world affairs, carrying out His decrees. The spiritual and natural battle is ferocious but no government exists without God’s permission. And there are some things that do not happen because God’s people do not pray. History doesn’t belong to the politicians; it belongs to the intercessors, partnering with the Living God to bring forth His will. Daniel 4 details the sentence of a King being deposed from his throne so God’s best could come forth. In vs. 17 it reads, “This sentence is by the decree of of the angelic watchers, and the decision is a command of the holy ones, in order that the living may know that the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind, and bestows it on whom He wishes, and sets over it the lowliest of men.”
Vote according to a biblical worldview. Watch. Pray.
